Have you ever been to TEXAS!!! If not, you are in for a treat! Come to Houston, July 25-27 and experience Texas Hospitality as well as meet and greet fellow church and synagogue librarians. Even if you have been to TEXAS, this time you can visit various areas of interest such as the Dunham Bible Library, 4 area church libraries, and see the sights of one of the largest cities in the US.This is just the place and time to exchange ideas, questions and answers, and learn from guest speakers and workshop leaders.

Thank you for reminding us of the great opportunity available to apply for an award. I received one myself several years ago and I know that it made a big difference at our church library. The whole congregation was very pleased that a National Professional Association of Church and Synagogue Librarians would award this special certificate to me. The accolades which were forth coming and the knowledge that the congregation received about how the Association felt about our church and our Librarian was extremely helpful in the promotion of our library causes!

The 2010 Conference Committee is busy working on the details of the Conference for next July. When you read you might think " that is far away".... but the way "time flies", it is really just around the corner. Watch for the registration insert in the CTL early in 2010... sign up early and make plans to join with other congregational librarians in Houston. Workshops, speakers, tours, great food and many opportunities to interact with others who minister as you do in your own congregations. Ya'll Come!!
