New report: 2009 automation system changes by libraries

Postby PatShufeldt » Mon Feb 08, 2010 2:36 pm

Marshall Breeding has just released two fascinating new reports which provide vendor-by-vendor statistics on libraries' changes to other automation vendors and/or software during 2009. These reports may be useful to congregational libraries which are considering any of the programs or vendors mentioned.

As Marshall cautions, these are only indicators based on reports by libraries which are included in the LIB-WEB-CATS directory. The more libraries that add or update their directory entries, the more useful these reports will be.

Only 30 libraries are listed in the "Church" and "Synagogue" categories of LIB-WEB-CATS at present. If your library isn't listed, please see that it is added--whether the library is automated or not. If it's listed, but the record is out of date, see that it is updated. You'll be helping all of us.
