NEW Books -- OLD Books

How many new or "slightly used" books do you get every year as donations? How many books do you review and weed OUT every year? Do you ever have a weeding party. All the friends of the library come on a Saturday to the library and bring a shopping bag to take away books that need to be weeded. The librarian supplies sandwich lunches and gets some of the members of the congregation to help with the expenses for these items. Any thoughts from other libraries out there? THERE IS A $25 Barnes and Noble gift certificate just waiting to be given away to someone who might read this, comes with a good idea and posts it here. Something you might want to think about.
[If you saw a $25 gift certificate lying on the pavement next to your car, when you came out of the grocery store, would you pick it up or just leave it lay there?[quote/quote]
