Library volunteers and staff

We call all of our volunteers "Staff" except for the Director of the Library and Archives none of them are paid. But we do thank all the volunteers and their spouses each year at Christmas time with a big library party at a favorite restaurant where the whole event is paid for through our small budget funds. It is our belief that we need to thank our staff with something more than just a note. The event produces great conversations, interactions and is a wonderful social event. The majority of the money we raise in the library comes from donations from "kind individuals" -- there is no magic "deep pockets" or other "miracles" around -- just hard working and dedicated volunteers.
